About the job

An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Lead Test Systems Sustainment Engineer in the Power, Displays, and Controllers Test Systems Group at GE Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Test Equipment into the production environment, along with the associated documentation and spares, while also leading the development of an Obsolescence Strategy for Test Equipment. You will manage the risk associated with the delivery of the Test Equipment, provide technical updates and guidance to stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers. Additionally, the role includes overseeing the transition of Test Equipment and supporting documentation from the Engineering Department to the Supply Chain end user, addressing all reliability and yield-related projects to enhance the performance of the Test Equipment during and after the transition. As part of the job, you'll also provide technical advice to the Test Systems NPI and Sustainment teams, work safely in an Engineering Lab Space, and ensure adherence to Quality Management System processes and procedures. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining an appropriate Obsolescence Strategy for all Test Equipment in Supply Chain ownership. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, along with experience in technical leadership, project management, configuration/change management, debugging/fault-finding, and hardware/software integration. Familiarity with NPI process knowledge, Test Systems Sustainment processes, and highly regulated Quality Management Systems is also desirable. The role offers flexibility with relocation assistance and a strong benefits package.
