AECOM, a global leader in infrastructure consulting services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior or Principal Overhead Line Design Engineer to join its Transmission and Distribution (T&D) team. This role will focus on the design and delivery of high-voltage overhead transmission lines up to 400kV, supporting critical infrastructure projects that drive the UK's energy transition and net-zero ambitions. As a senior member of the team, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinate complex project deliverables, and serve as a key technical expert across a wide portfolio of energy projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with national and international standards, and managing client relationships with a high level of professionalism and technical authority. In addition to delivering design excellence, you will also play a strategic role in developing new business opportunities, mentoring junior engineers, contributing to bids and proposals, and helping shape the future of power transmission solutions in both domestic and international markets.
