Orbex is looking for an AIT Engineer to support the assembly, integration, and testing of propulsion, fluid systems, and structural components of its launch vehicle, as well as the design, upgrade, and maintenance of test sites, benches, and spaceport facilities. The role involves designing and commissioning new test benches, leading testing and assembly campaigns, and working both hands-on and theoretically. Responsibilities include planning and executing propulsion or structural tests, handling cryogenic testing campaigns, developing test benches and tooling, preparing devices for test, analyzing data, defining integration procedures, and executing launch vehicle assembly trials. Applicants should hold a degree in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering, with hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, cryogenics, or process piping engineering. Knowledge of P&IDs, LOX systems, and safety-critical testing environments is desirable, as is experience with SolidWorks or simulation tools like Ecosimpro or Amesim. The role requires strong attention to safety, problem-solving ability, and teamwork.
