Nu Quantum Ltd, a leading company in quantum computing and advanced technology, is seeking an AMO Physicist to join its mission of shaping the future of quantum information systems. Based in Cambridge, this full-time, permanent role offers visa sponsorship and involves working at the intersection of atomic physics, cavity QED, and quantum engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in building Nu Quantum’s quantum-network demonstrator, integrating proprietary qubit–photon interface and microcavity technology to achieve high-performance quantum networking. Responsibilities include executing remote-entanglement experiments, supporting AMO physicists, maintaining complex lab systems, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and contributing to project strategy and experimental design. The ideal candidate will have experience in experimental AMO physics, ion-trapping, qubit control, and working with optical, electronic, and UHV systems.
