As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Breakthrough Talent, you will join a fast-moving team focused on making it easier for large industries to bring AI into real-world production. You’ll play a key role in designing and building the foundational systems that ensure AI platforms run reliably, securely, and at scale. This includes developing backend services, APIs, and distributed infrastructure while contributing to architectural, deployment, and delivery decisions within a small, senior, and ambitious team that values initiative over hierarchy. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of engineering experience with a proven record of delivering production-grade code, as well as hands-on experience deploying multimodal and large language model (LLM)-based products. Proficiency in LangChain, indexing, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), semantic search, and fine-tuning techniques such as SFT and RL is highly desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment where pace, precision, and purpose intersect, with a strong compensation package of £100,000–£170,000 per year plus meaningful equity. The role is based on-site in London, offering visa sponsorship and relocation support for qualified international candidates.
