Orbex is seeking a CAD Technician to provide essential design and drafting support across engineering teams, including flight structures, propulsion systems, and ground support equipment. Based in Forres, Scotland, this role supports both UK and Denmark teams. The position involves developing accurate and detailed 3D models of components and assemblies for launch vehicles and ground segment equipment, managing large assemblies within the PDM system, generating 2D technical drawings, maintaining BOMs and mass tracking documentation, and ensuring compliance with Orbex manufacturing standards. Candidates should have an HNC or HND in aerospace or mechanical engineering or relevant apprenticeship, proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX, and experience with file management systems like PDM and TeamCentre. Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential. Desirable experience includes knowledge of BS 8888 standards, GD&T, composite materials, and aerospace manufacturing.
