Orbex is seeking a Harness Design Engineer to join its AIT team in Scotland, focusing on the design, development, integration, and validation of electrical wiring and interconnect systems for launch vehicles. The role involves creating detailed 2D schematics and 3D harness routing, defining connectors, cables, and grounding systems, generating BOMs, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings, and performing harness validation and integrity checks. Candidates should have a background in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or Aerospace, experience in harness design and integration in an aerospace environment, and proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical. Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and ECSS-Q-ST standards, EMC/EMI requirements, and Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles is desirable.
