As a System Rig Design Engineer, you will be part of the Powertrain Test Operations team and take responsibility for designing, optimizing, and automating system rig designs while integrating complex prototype systems into the physical test environment. The role requires delivering robust rig designs including architecture, wiring, and cooling schematics in line with technical standards and project timelines, ensuring audit-ready documentation, driving Agile delivery through effective sprint planning, mentoring team members, collaborating across departments, and managing JIRA workflows with stakeholders. Candidates must have proven experience in system rig design and integration, technical expertise in automotive powertrain systems, knowledge of system engineering tools and simulation software, and hands-on experience in automotive wiring harness design and high-voltage breakout box design. An engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields is required along with experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. Soft skills such as communication, collaboration, mentoring, attention to detail, and adaptability are crucial. Desirable skills include familiarity with JIRA/Confluence, prototype integration/testing, and automotive safety compliance standards.
