Mistral AI is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its HPC services team and help build one of Europe’s largest AI infrastructure offerings, providing customers with a private and integrated stack across form factors from bare-metal servers to managed PaaS. The role involves designing, scaling, and automating compute management systems, developing workflows to improve reliability and performance, and driving infrastructure automation through CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, monitoring, and observability. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting production environments, collaborating with R&D to scale testing workflows and model training environments, and working with the security team to ensure compliance and best practices. Candidates should have 7+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, strong skills in distributed systems, scripting (Python, Go, Bash), CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog), and a solid grasp of networking and security. Experience with HPC workload managers (Slurm) and distributed storage systems (Lustre, Ceph) is a plus. This role prioritizes candidates in Paris or open to relocating but allows hybrid/remote arrangements with regular visits to the Paris HQ.
