Mistral AI is seeking a DevOps Engineer for its Research Platform team to build a cloud-agnostic platform that enhances stability, scalability, and velocity across the research department. The role involves designing and implementing complex systems, creating flexible development environments, optimizing builds and Python environments, and building maintainable data pipelines. You will work closely with researchers to understand their workflows, improve tool accessibility, and enable more efficient research. Key responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines, containerization, orchestration, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability while applying SRE principles such as root cause analysis and in-production troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in DX/DevOps/SRE roles, strong Python/Go programming skills, exposure to infrastructure management, a technical product mindset, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and is autonomous and self-driven. Experience with Bazel (or equivalent), GPU-based workloads, and full-remote environments is a plus.
