The Electrical Engineer at Ferguson Marine will be responsible for developing and designing electrical systems for marine vessels, including power distribution (AC/DC), lighting and control systems, propulsion, automation, communication, navigation, and safety systems. The role requires performing electrical calculations, simulations, load analysis, and preparing detailed schematics and technical specifications while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, standards (such as IEC, IEEE, LR, DNV GL), and MCA regulations. The engineer will work as part of a small, agile design team within a multidisciplinary environment, transforming concepts into real-world shipbuilding outcomes. Candidates should hold a degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering, with a proven track record in both design and construction settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and adherence to health and safety guidelines are essential.
