About the job

A pioneering UK-based biomaterials start-up, CT19, is looking to hire a passionate and driven Engineer – Materials Manufacturing to contribute to the research, development, characterisation, and scale-up of innovative, sustainable, bio-based materials. This exciting full-time, on-site role in Histon, England, involves collaborating with experienced engineers and scientists to help translate laboratory-scale processes into scalable industrial solutions. Familiarity with lab-scale and pilot process development, statistical quality/process control (LSS, TQM, SPC), and knowledge of polymers, biomaterials, or textile processing are advantageous. The company is seeking a self-motivated, meticulous, and collaborative team player with strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK, though visa sponsorship may be available for exceptional talent. CT19 is a mission-driven, venture-backed organisation creating advanced bio-based materials for industries ranging from fashion and interiors to automotive, driven by a commitment to align human innovation with environmental responsibility. The benefits package includes 25 days of holiday plus UK public holidays, private medical and dental insurance, life assurance (4x salary), a £50 monthly wellness/lifestyle/learning allowance, a Cycle to Work scheme, a 6% employer-contributed pension, and participation in a share option scheme. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a creative, fast-moving, and impact-oriented company aiming to revolutionise material science with sustainability at its core.
