OLIX is building the next-generation Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU), a revolutionary AI hardware platform. The Engineering Manager, Backend Compiler role leads a team of 6 engineers to build and optimize the OTPU compiler backend, collaborating closely with frontend compiler, architecture, and ASIC teams. The role demands deep technical judgment, leadership experience, and expertise in backend compiler development, hardware-software co-design, and distributed dataflow architectures. Responsibilities include delivering the compiler roadmap, ensuring high hardware performance, establishing a culture of technical excellence, and guiding long-term sustainability alongside short-term deliverables.
