The Founding Engineer HealthTech at Bluebird will take full ownership of the platform from day one, setting the technical direction and growing the engineering team for a fast-growing HealthTech startup. The role involves rebuilding and optimizing the MVP, leading complex integrations with EHR systems, third-party data, and AI/LLM tools, and designing a scalable, compliant architecture for the future. The engineer will work on-site in London alongside founders, advisors, and leading clinicians to shape the product from concept to scale. Responsibilities include defining technical culture, best practices, and standards, overseeing the development of clinician and patient web platforms, transforming the MVP (React/Next.js/TypeScript) into production-ready SaaS, and ensuring integration with EHR systems and regulated data (HIPAA/GDPR). The role offers full relocation support and UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record taking MVPs to production at VC-backed startups, full-stack and architecture leadership experience, and familiarity with regulated healthcare data. This position offers up to £200,000 per year plus meaningful equity and the opportunity to build the technical foundation for a transformative preventative care platform.
