The Graduate Build Production Engineer will join the Operations team at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team on a 23-month fixed term contract, focusing on driving process improvements across Car Build areas, enhancing data accuracy, increasing productivity, and improving efficiency in the assembly and servicing of on-car hardware. The role involves supporting the Lead Build Production Engineer in developing and implementing automated processes across hydraulics, composites, transmission, and heat rejection systems, contributing to process improvement initiatives, developing visualization tools to track build status and progress against measurable KPIs, maintaining documentation such as SOPs, calibration records, and ISO standards, working with the ERP team for accurate data entry and reporting, supporting car feedback processes to enhance reliability and performance, assisting in scaled project planning and execution, and applying a continuous improvement mindset to optimize build processes by removing non-value-added tasks. The role requires a degree (or expected degree) in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, basic understanding of manufacturing or build processes, familiarity with CAD tools such as CATIA V5 or 3DX, technical proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python or SQL, experience with data visualization software such as PowerBI, ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and an analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and innovation. Candidates should be enthusiastic, eager to learn in a high-performance engineering environment, possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, be flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach, passionate about motorsport and continuous improvement, and willing to work outside of core responsibilities to support team goals.
