The HPC Helpdesk Team Leader at Viridien is a full-time, on-site position in Haywards Heath, UK, within the High-Performance Computing division. This role is ideal for an experienced and motivated IT professional with a background in managing helpdesk operations and infrastructure support. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling 1st-line IT issues, managing escalations, ensuring system uptime, and maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders. Daily tasks include managing user accounts, performing backups and data transfers, developing knowledge bases, and producing regular IT incident reports. In addition to technical expertise, the team leader will supervise the helpdesk team, conduct performance reviews, monitor productivity, and provide continuous guidance. Required technical skills include experience with Linux, data center hardware, network terminology, Zabbix (or similar monitoring tools), and Jira Service Management.
