The Infrastructure Engineer role at Jisc involves deploying, maintaining, and securing IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless operation of core platforms, including both cloud and on-prem infrastructure. This role plays a key part in developing and maintaining the technology that supports Jisc’s work with educational and research sectors. You will work closely with the infrastructure architect to deploy new solutions, implement security measures, automate processes, and monitor system performance. The job requires experience with Jisc Core Technologies such as M365, Teams, Exchange, Intune, Azure, AWS, VMware, and Cisco Firewalls. You’ll also be involved in overseeing upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption, and maintaining comprehensive system documentation. The position can be offered at either the Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Infrastructure Engineer level, depending on your experience. The role follows a hybrid working model, with offices located in London, Bristol, Manchester, and Oxford, and occasional travel may be required.
