The EDU Geometric Integration Lead Engineer at Quintessential Design Service Limited (QDSL) will be responsible for leading the EDU Geometric Integration team to ensure compatibility of the EDU with overall system requirements. The role involves managing a multi-disciplinary team of engineers working in an Agile framework to achieve geometric compatibility, entitlement to meet system performance, and demonstrating quality through evidence-based engineering reviews. Key duties include creating and publishing skeleton models to define EDU component architecture, regularly updating full assembly models in line with sprint cadence, managing design freeze according to programme gateways, supporting vehicle package reviews, completing virtual builds for rig setups, resolving cross-team incompatibilities through integration design reviews, supporting vehicle build issues, creating test requests based on DFMEA, compiling and storing test evidence, completing evidence-based reviews, and overseeing design and release responsibilities for EDU labels. The role requires strong expertise in 3D modelling tools such as CATIA V6, knowledge of GD&T, experience with Agile product delivery, project management, and issue resolution. Candidates with experience in Confluence, JIRA, product owner roles, and prior work in the automotive or manufacturing industry are desirable. The position demands a results-driven, resilient, and enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills, the ability to challenge existing thinking, and a commitment to teamwork.
