The IT Security Analyst role involves investigating and responding to external and internal cybersecurity threats promptly, ensuring clear and proactive communication throughout the remediation process. The analyst will drive changes to processes that scale across teams and regions, impacting organizations outside the Security team. Acting as an escalation point for Tier 1 investigations, the role contributes to the development of Tier 1 capabilities and related service level objectives. The analyst is responsible for documenting security investigations, producing high-quality and accurate reports for various stakeholders, and collaborating with Security Engineers and cross-functional teams to investigate and remediate large-scale security incidents. The position also supports root cause analysis of security incidents, identifies control gaps, and recommends mitigation strategies. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive improvements to security policies, processes, and tools, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Security Operations and Incident Response team. Additionally, the analyst will support internal and external stakeholders, regulators, and auditors. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, Incident Response, or a relevant investigative role, with expertise in operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux, networking technologies, security events analysis, investigative tools, and digital forensic evidence handling.
