Design, develop, review, and optimise manufacturing processes for advanced avionics systems at GE Aerospace, ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) principles. The Manufacturing Engineer will troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process integration, create and maintain work instructions aligned with technical specifications, and lead activities such as Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Non-Conformities (NC) resolution. Responsibilities also include analysing production data to drive continuous improvement, managing shop floor tooling and equipment, suggesting new technologies to enhance manufacturing, and contributing to improvements in yield, cycle time, and defects-per-unit. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering, have prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, and possess strong communication skills, knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or 8D methodologies, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Familiarity with CAD tools like Catia or AutoCAD, and experience in avionics or aerospace manufacturing is a plus. The role offers a full-time, on-site position at GE’s Cheltenham facility, with flexible benefits and visa sponsorship considered for eligible candidates.
