The MongoDB Database Administrator at Viridien will be a core member of the High-Performance Computing (HPC) team, responsible for the global management, support, and optimization of critical enterprise databases. This includes overseeing MongoDB and PostgreSQL systems, ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and data security across multiple environments. Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant experience and hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets, utilizing monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and leveraging MongoDB Ops Manager for performance tuning. The role also demands proficiency in managing large-scale databases, executing backup and recovery processes, implementing High Availability (HA) and Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), and collaborating with developers for improved database efficiency. Familiarity with cloud technologies, scripting in Bash or Python, DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Git), and relational data modeling are advantageous.
