Nu Quantum Ltd, a pioneering company in quantum computing and advanced photonic technologies, is hiring a Nanofabrication Engineer to join its cutting-edge R&D team in Cambridge, UK. The company, spun out from the University of Cambridge’s Cavendish Laboratory, focuses on developing scalable quantum networking technologies that form the backbone of next-generation quantum computing systems. The Nanofabrication Engineer will be responsible for fabricating and optimizing optical microcavity devices, performing high-precision metrology, automating fabrication processes, and working with FIB/SEM systems for nanoscale structuring and analysis. Applicants should hold a degree in materials science, physics, electronic engineering, or a related field, with strong hands-on experience in FIB milling, cleanroom processing, and optical metrology. Knowledge of quantum optics, machine learning for automation, and data analysis using Python or R is desirable.
