This full-time, permanent role offers visa sponsorship and involves developing and optimising nanofabrication processes crucial for scalable quantum networking systems. The engineer will fabricate and handle ultrasmooth optical microcavity devices, optimise bespoke fabrication technologies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across optics, integrated photonics, and microwave engineering. Candidates should have a degree in materials science, physics, or electronic engineering, with experience in FIB milling, cleanroom processing, and precision metrology. Knowledge of image analysis, quantum optics, or cavity QED is desirable.
