We are seeking a highly experienced Principal CAD Engineer with deep expertise in Body in White (BIW), Body Interior/Exterior, and Door systems using Siemens NX. This full-time role at Quintessential Design Service Limited in Wellingborough, UK, involves complete ownership of CAD deliverables while supporting cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality, manufacturable, and aesthetically pleasing designs. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of BIW and associated systems, create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings to GD&T standards, collaborate with CAE, manufacturing, and quality teams, and support critical activities such as DFMEA, DVP&R, and tolerance stack-up analysis. The role requires expert-level proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter, in-depth knowledge of automotive design and manufacturing processes, and the ability to mentor junior engineers and work across international teams. A degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering is preferred, and experience with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is highly desirable.
