As a Graduate Race Strategy Engineer at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, you will play a key role in supporting the team’s performance through detailed data analysis, competitor performance evaluation, and strategy tool development. This position involves contributing to a variety of analytical and modelling projects, including race strategy statistics gathering, management, and the development of integrated software tools in collaboration with the software team. You will also assist with automating processes and providing race and test support from the factory for selected events. The role requires flexibility to work during weekends in alignment with the Formula One race calendar, ensuring effective collaboration with engineers, drivers, and team members to optimize performance. Applicants should possess a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering (minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent), with skills in statistics, logical problem-solving, and programming (Python preferred). Previous experience in motorsport or a similar data-driven environment is highly desirable.
