As a Graduate Software Engineer (Vehicle Performance) at Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, you will join the Engineering Software Department within the Vehicle Performance group, contributing to projects that enhance the team’s race performance and applied science initiatives. You will work on developing software solutions to improve insights into car performance, build and enhance systems such as real-time simulators, HPC infrastructure, and data analysis tools, while collaborating with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver seamless, high-quality software products. The role involves hands-on programming, software architecture planning, automated testing, and supporting live race events to ensure access to real-time data for strategic decision-making. Applicants must have a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (2.1 or equivalent), experience with object-oriented programming, and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle. Passion for software development, problem-solving, and customer-focused innovation are essential, along with strong communication skills.
