The University of Glasgow is seeking a Research Scientist (Data Visualisation) to join the £7.5m Policy Modelling for Health consortium, funded by UKRI’s PHI UK. The postholder will design and implement high-quality, accessible data visualisations and interactive dashboards to communicate complex model outputs and research findings to policymakers, researchers, media, and the wider public. Responsibilities include leading the data communications strategy, collaborating with consortium partners, producing engaging data-driven content, enhancing publications and reports with visual storytelling, and advising on emerging technologies in data visualisation. Applicants should have strong experience in visualisation tools such as R Shiny, Tableau, or Power BI, excellent communication and storytelling skills, and proven experience in conveying complex research insights to diverse audiences. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE, 17.5 hours per week) funded until March 2028. The position may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship if the applicant meets the tradeable points criteria under UK visa rules.
