Nu Quantum Ltd, a pioneering company in the field of quantum computing and advanced technology, is seeking a Senior AMO Physicist to join its mission of shaping the future of quantum information systems. This full-time, permanent position based in Cambridge, UK offers visa sponsorship. The Senior AMO Physicist will play a key role in building Nu Quantum’s quantum-network demonstrator by working at the intersection of atomic physics, cavity QED, and quantum engineering. Responsibilities include designing and executing remote-entanglement experiments, mentoring AMO physicists, maintaining complex lab systems, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and contributing to technical strategy and innovation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AMO physics, ion-trapping, qubit control, optical and electronic systems, and system automation. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
