Concrete4Change (C4C) is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead its scale-up journey from lab pilot to commercial demonstration. Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will design, optimise, and execute process scale-up plans; develop heat and mass balances, equipment lists, utility profiles, PFDs, process descriptions, and techno-economic evaluations; and identify opportunities for process improvements and chemical recovery integration. The role includes commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting a mini full-flowsheet pilot plant, ensuring pilot learnings inform commercial design, managing experimental runs, and overseeing plant maintenance and upgrades. You will forecast engineering workloads, lead cross-functional teams and EPCs, ensure safety and quality standards, and collaborate with chemists, mechanical engineers, process control engineers, and operators. Applicants should have 10+ years’ experience in process design, commissioning, and scale-up (ideally solids handling or mineral processing), with proven ability to manage EPCs, deliver engineering packages, analyse plant data, and drive continuous improvement. Desirable skills include Python, Aspen, Thermoflex, techno-economic analysis, SCADA/PLC knowledge, and background in carbon capture or concrete chemistry.
