About the job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative semiconductor start-ups, based in London, with visa sponsorship available and a highly competitive compensation package that includes company share options. This fast-growing company is on a mission to develop a truly groundbreaking semiconductor solution aimed at transforming the healthcare industry at a global level. As the team is still relatively small, this role represents a unique chance to be part of the early-stage growth and directly influence the technical direction of the product and the company itself. The selected candidate will be fully immersed in the complete integrated circuit (IC) design process, working hand-in-hand with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and a team of skilled chartered IC designers. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including conceptual design, system architecture planning, detailed circuit specification, block-level and top-level IC design, integration, tapeout, and hands-on post-silicon validation and testing. To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, and ideally have between 3 to 10 years of relevant industry experience. A strong background in analog IC design is essential, as the core responsibilities will center on analog development, though a good understanding of mixed-signal environments and some hands-on experience with digital design using Verilog is also required. Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering multiple IC designs in a commercial or industrial context is a significant advantage, and any prior involvement in a start-up setting is highly desirable, reflecting the adaptability and problem-solving mindset needed in such an environment. This position not only offers the chance to contribute to a cutting-edge healthcare technology solution but also provides long-term career development opportunities, a collaborative and friendly work culture, and flexibility through a hybrid working model (up to 50% remote from within the UK). If you're excited about joining a company where your work will have real-world impact and you want to be part of a visionary team building something truly innovative from the ground up, this could be the ideal role for you.
