Orbex is hiring a Senior System Modelling Engineer / Mission Analyst for a full-time, mid-level role based in Forres, Moray, United Kingdom, to support the development of Orbex Prime. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining system modelling tools and simulation frameworks, performing system-level analyses and trade studies to support design and architecture decisions, and contributing to the overall technical direction of the programme while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires strong experience in MATLAB/Simulink and/or programming languages such as C, C++, Fortran, or Java, a solid understanding of numerical solvers, flight dynamics, and orbital mechanics, and experience in modelling physical systems, with desirable experience in launch vehicles, mission analysis, trajectory optimisation, and tools such as GMAT or STK.
