The Senior Fluid Systems Design Engineer role at Orbex is a highly technical aerospace engineering position supporting the Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) department. The role involves owning the design, development, analysis and integration of complex fluid delivery systems such as LPG, water deluge, gaseous helium, helium transfer and liquid nitrogen systems for Orbex’s test site and spaceport operations. Responsibilities include creating P&IDs, performing CFD, FEA and thermal simulations, conducting pressure drop and flow balancing analysis, overseeing fabrication and testing, managing commissioning and launch readiness, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations. The engineer works closely with propulsion, launch platform and ground support teams and contributes directly to Orbex’s first launch mission. This is a core technology role in the aerospace and launch vehicle domain, and Orbex provides full UK visa sponsorship and comprehensive relocation support for eligible international candidates.
