The Senior Systems Engineer at SSTL will lead and support space missions from concept to launch, commissioning, and operational life, providing cradle-to-grave exposure. Responsibilities include system-level design of space and ground segments, requirements management, subsystem interfacing, system integration, test planning, verification and validation, in-orbit commissioning, technical studies, mentoring junior engineers, and customer-facing activities. Candidates should have 7+ years’ experience in spacecraft systems engineering, knowledge of orbital mechanics, RF systems, satellite architectures, FMECA/FDIR, environmental testing, STK/Matlab, project planning tools, and strong technical writing and presentation skills.
