The Silicon Photonics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for AI and machine learning applications. This role involves prototyping original photonic components, simulating system-level functionality, and collaborating with fabrication teams and external manufacturing partners for component design and process integration. Additionally, the engineer will develop optical testing plans, perform hands-on testing of photonic components and systems, and optimize optoelectronic testing setups. The role requires expertise in silicon and III-V photonic device design, photonic CAD tools, RF/SI simulation, and Python scripting. With a strong focus on innovation, the engineer will also contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio through patent filings while working in a dynamic, hybrid environment with lucrative stock options and relocation support.
