Botz Innovation is hiring a Simulation Engineer for Autonomous and Soft Robotic Systems in London, UK. This full-time, on-site role focuses on developing high-fidelity physics-based simulations for soft and hybrid robotic systems, including modeling 3D geometry, nonlinear material behavior, deformation, and system dynamics. The engineer will design and run finite element and reduced-order models, validate and calibrate simulations against real-world experimental data, and integrate simulation outputs into optimization and learning-driven workflows. The role requires strong expertise in computational mechanics, FEM, numerical methods, and hands-on experience with simulation tools such as Abaqus, ANSYS, or COMSOL, along with proficiency in Python and C++. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to improve model accuracy, performance, and scalability while contributing to clean APIs, data logging, reproducibility, and CI practices. A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering or scientific field is required. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible international candidates.
