Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL), a subsidiary of Airbus, is looking for a highly motivated and capable Spacecraft Operations Engineer to join its Engineering Operations Team. Based in Guildford, UK, the role is full-time with hybrid working and flexible hours. You will be responsible for all phases of satellite operations including Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP), commissioning, routine operations, and end-of-life activities. Your tasks will include commanding satellites, monitoring health and status, anomaly investigation and resolution, mission planning, procedure development and testing, as well as writing technical documentation and supporting ground systems and automation tools. You will also liaise with internal teams and external customers, contributing to future mission preparation and continuous improvement. Candidates should have a technical degree in disciplines like Space Systems, Electronics, or Telecommunications, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Familiarity with spacecraft control software, databases, scripting languages, and satellite operations tools is desirable.
