Jisc is seeking a Technical Writer for its OpenAthens team to lead the development and delivery of clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation and knowledge repositories that support customers and internal stakeholders in effectively using and managing OpenAthens products and services. This hybrid role, based in the UK with flexible working from home and offices in London, Bristol, Manchester, or Oxford, involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product and development, to stay informed about updates and ensure timely documentation changes. Key responsibilities include evaluating and recommending tools and techniques, managing the publication process, creating in-product help like tooltips and onboarding guides, and maintaining best-in-class documentation standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing technical and end-user documentation across various media, knowledge of content management systems, and familiarity with in-app tools like Chameleon. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary starting from £40,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) along with a generous benefits package, and the company supports visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
