Quintessential Design Service Limited (QDSL) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the xHEV Power Supply System, focusing on the system architecture and integration of electrified powertrains including MHEV, PHEV, and BEV applications. The role involves working across all development phases, from concept through production, designing and optimizing subsystems such as the Electric Drive Unit (EDU), Battery Pack, and Onboard Charger (OBC). Responsibilities include thermal, mechanical, and structural analysis, design verification, functional safety, diagnostics, and control strategies. You will also create and maintain key system artifacts using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), CAE tools, and agile methodologies. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of hybrid and electric vehicle architecture, battery systems, torque coordination strategies, and familiarity with testing methods including HIL, PIL, and VIL. Experience with standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and Python is highly desirable. This position supports hybrid or remote work within the UK and offers visa sponsorship to qualified candidates.
